*. A PHOTOGRAPHY TEAM

When you choose Southern Wedding Photography to photograph an ALL DAY wedding, my wife, Miranda, and I will both cover your wedding. Working as a team allows us to be in two places at once. For example, when a bride is getting ready, one of us can be catching all those moments with her and her friends, and the other can be photographing the groom preparing for the wedding. This also allows us to capture those special moments of your day from two different angles; for example, the bride and groom's faces when they see each other for the first time.

*. AN ARTISTIC APPROACH

As artists, our main focus is to capture the beauty and emotion of your wedding day. We see photography as fine art, and not just pictures.

I personally look at and edit every single photo that I take of your wedding day. Part of the "artistic element" that you get with our wedding coverage actually takes place later, when your photos are digitally enhanced. Many wedding photographers do not take the time to edit your photos; but rather simply hand over a disc of pictures straight out of the camera. Other photographers may do minimal editing work through what is called "batch processing". This is when computer software is set up to do certain basic editing automatically without any effort from the photographer, and without regard for information that makes up each individual image. But, we take the time to carefully examine and enhance each image to produce a work of fine art that can be proudly displayed in your home.

*. PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS

We love to get to know the couples and families that we work with. We find that by doing this, it makes everyone so much more comfortable and relaxed on your wedding day. This in turn, results in wonderful, natural photos of a bride and groom who feel free to express their emotion and not be inhibited by nervousness around the camera. It also allows us to find out more about a couple's individual style and personality so that their images can reflect who they really are.

*. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

We do all of our photography on location because we believe that emotion is the most important part of photography, and your natural emotions are much more likely to come through in a setting that you are most comfortable in. There is just something magical about being in the place where you first met, the restaurant where you had your first date, or the spot where you first kissed! Some photographers wouldn't dare leave the comfort of their studio. But, we know that these meaningful places can provide the perfect environment in which to create extraordinary photographs that will be treasured for a lifetime.

I realize that there are many stresses involved in planning a wedding. You will be working with many different service providers on your wedding day and hoping that they all will do the quality of work they promise, are trustworthy, and of course show up on time. If I am your photographer, I will not be one of the questions in your mind because I will take care of you like you are my own family. When I am at a wedding, the couples that I am working with are the two most important people in the world on that day. And I will do whatever it takes to make sure they are glad they commissioned me to photograph their day.
